1. Restaurant Food and Beverage Orders
Manta Cloud provides the technology used by restaurants and cafés ("Tenants") to receive and manage Customer orders.
The restaurant or café is the seller and fulfiller of the food or beverage order.
Therefore, cancellation and refund decisions for restaurant orders are primarily the responsibility of the relevant Tenant.
Manta Cloud does not independently determine whether a food or beverage order should be refunded.
2. Requesting Cancellation
Customers who wish to cancel an order should contact the restaurant or café as soon as possible.
A Tenant may accept or reject a cancellation depending on:
- Whether preparation has started;
- Whether the order has already been prepared;
- Whether the order has already been served;
- The Tenant's own cancellation policy;
- Applicable consumer-protection laws.
Where an order has already been prepared or served, cancellation may not be possible except where required by applicable law.
3. Refunds for Restaurant Orders
Where a Tenant approves a refund, the Tenant is responsible for initiating the refund through its payment gateway or applicable payment service provider.
Manta Cloud does not hold the underlying restaurant order payment and does not independently return the restaurant's order payment to Customers.
The actual time required for a refund to reach the Customer may depend on the payment method, payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI system, or other financial institution.
For example, payment providers may take several business days to complete and reflect a normal refund. Customers should therefore allow the relevant processing period specified by the payment provider.
4. Partial Refunds
A Tenant may, where supported by its payment provider, issue a partial refund.
Examples may include:
- A missing item;
- An unavailable item;
- A partially fulfilled order;
- A pricing correction;
- Another circumstance accepted by the Tenant.
The amount and eligibility of a partial refund are determined by the Tenant and applicable law.
5. Failed Payments
If a payment fails but an order appears to have been created, Customers should not make repeated payments without first checking the order/payment status where possible.
Payment status may be delayed due to banking, UPI, payment gateway, or network conditions.
Manta Cloud may receive or verify payment-status information and update the order status accordingly.
Manta Cloud is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, UPI, card networks, or other third-party payment systems.
6. Duplicate Payments
If a Customer believes that the same order has been paid more than once, the Customer should first contact the relevant Tenant with:
- Order ID;
- Transaction/payment reference;
- Date and approximate time of payment;
- Amount paid.
The Tenant and its payment service provider will investigate the transaction and process any applicable refund.
7. Refund of Manta Cloud Platform or Order-Related Fees
Where Manta Cloud separately charges a platform, convenience, or order-processing fee, the applicability of a refund for that fee will depend on the applicable fee arrangement displayed at the time of payment.
Unless otherwise stated or required by law, a platform/order-processing fee may be non-refundable once the related service has been successfully provided.
Where a transaction fails before the applicable service is provided, Manta Cloud may review the circumstances and determine whether a fee should be reversed or refunded.
8. Manta Cloud Subscription Cancellation
Tenants may request cancellation of their Manta Cloud subscription by contacting Manta Cloud or using the cancellation functionality provided within the Platform, where available.
Cancellation normally prevents future renewal but does not automatically refund subscription fees already paid for the current billing period.
Unless otherwise stated in the Tenant's commercial agreement or required by applicable law, subscription fees for a billing period that has already commenced are non-refundable.
9. Suspension or Termination by Manta Cloud
Manta Cloud may suspend or terminate a Tenant account for reasons including:
- Non-payment;
- Material breach of the Terms;
- Abuse of the Platform;
- Fraudulent activity;
- Security concerns;
- Unlawful use;
- Other circumstances permitted by the Terms.
Termination or suspension does not automatically create a right to a refund of previously paid subscription fees.
Where Manta Cloud terminates a subscription for reasons unrelated to the Tenant's breach and a refund is appropriate, Manta Cloud may provide a prorated refund for an unused prepaid period at its discretion or as required by applicable law.
10. Refund Processing by Payment Providers
Where a refund is initiated by a Tenant through its payment provider, the refund is generally returned through the applicable payment method.
The exact processing time depends on the payment provider and banking system.
Customers should retain the refund reference, ARN, RRN, UTR, refund ID, or other transaction reference provided by the payment provider where available.
11. Disputes
If a Customer believes that a refund has not been processed correctly, the Customer should first contact the restaurant or café that accepted the order.
If the payment was processed through a third-party payment provider and the matter remains unresolved, the Customer may also contact the relevant bank or payment provider using the transaction reference.
Manta Cloud may assist with technical information concerning the Platform where reasonably possible, but it does not replace the Tenant's responsibility for its orders, cancellations, and refunds.
